What is Surah Mulk?
The Surah Mulk is the sixty-seventh chapter of the Qur’an and is based on 30 verses. It has multiple names, and the most famous name is Al-Mulk. The word Mulk means kingdom, and the reason behind this is that the Surah talks about the Kingdom of Allah. Another famous name for this Surah is Tabarakah because the first word of this Surah is تبارك which means Blessed.

Benefits of Surah Mulk
Surah Mulk has an enormous amount of virtues. Some of them are the following:

2) It invites you to think and ponder the universe’s great design and acknowledge your God’s power.
3) This Surah reminds you how weak we are as Human Beings and can’t achieve anything without the will of Allah.
Along with these psychological benefits, this Surah has many spiritual benefits as well, such as:
Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet ﷺ said: “There is a Surah of the Qur’an, with thirty verses, that interceded for a man until he was forgiven; it is ‘Surah Tabaarak Alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion)’ (At-Tirmidhi: 2891)
It is also from Sunnah to recite Surah Al-Mulk daily before sleeping, per another narration of At-Tirmidhi: 2892.

Virtues of Surah Mulk
In one narration, companion Abdullah ibn Mas’ood (R.A) said:
“Whoever recites Soorah Tabaarak Alladhi bi yadihi’l-mulk (Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion) [al-Mulk 67:1] every night, Allah will protect him thereby from the punishment of the grave. Sunan al-Kubra (10547)
But this narration has some weaknesses in the chain despite scholars accepting slightly weak narrations in the Virtues, and this narration comes under the same category.

2. It strengthens the believer’s faith.
3. It provides comfort during hard times.
4. It reminds people of their duty to Allah.
