The History of Ramadan is full of so many nights and events. We will provide you with some of it in the following line in the article.

History of Ramadan

Decree The Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – knew the Night of Decree by definition,
but he forgot it later from his Lord; For the wisdom of Him – the Highest -;
To motivate Muslims to strive hard in worship in the last ten days of Ramadan in its entirety,

 In explaining the reason for concealing knowledge on the Night of Decree, Imam Al-Bukhari in his Sahih,
on the authority of the great companion Ubadah bin Al-Samit – may God be pleased with him – narrated that the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – that He said:

When does Ramadan’s Tahajjud prayer begin?

The Tahajjud is one of the Histories of Ramadan and begins in the blessed month of Ramadan from the first night after the Isha prayer, which is the night when the crescent is seen,
so the blessing of Ramadan is related to the beginning of the month,
and not to fasting during the day in Ramadan, and the best days of Tahajjud;
It is what happens in the last ten days of the History of Ramadan.

This is due to the action of the Prophet Muhammad – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him -for he used to strive in them what he does not persist on other days.

On the authority of Aisha, the mother of the believers – may God be pleased with her – she said:

(كانَ النبيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ إذَا دَخَلَ العَشْرُ شَدَّ مِئْزَرَهُ، وأَحْيَا لَيْلَهُ، وأَيْقَظَ أهْلَهُ)

The ruling on the Tahajjud prayer

The Tahajud prayer is one of the confirmed Sunnahs, which is proven by the Book, the Sunnah, and the consensus of the ummah.

One of the Sunnahs is not specified in several rak’ahs, and the jurists agreed on its legitimacy,
on the sanctity of detail, and the sanctity of judgment. It is recommended by the Shafi’is and recommended by the Malikis.

The significance of the word Ramadan for the month of Ramadan

In the History of Ramadan:
There are different opinions about the name of the month of Ramadan and the reason for calling it that, and their explanation is as follows:

  • It was in agreement with the sweltering heat when the names of the months were transposed from the ancient language.
  • It contains burning for sins and disobedience; and forgiveness.
  • The hearts in it learn to learn and are affected by the heat of goodness as the heat of the sun affects stones and sand.
  • The Arabs were preparing their weapons for the coming war in the month of Shawwal.
  • It is a subject with no meaning like the rest of the months.

A group saw no relationship between the History of Ramadan and extreme heat;
This is because Ramadan is one of the lunar months, not the solar one;
It moves between the seasons of the year, such as spring, autumn, summer, or winter,
and its arrival is not limited to the summer season only.
i.e., with the intensification of the heat, Ramada, which is the root of the word Ramadan, means intense heat of thirst,
Not intense heat of the sun, and thirst occurs in all seasons of the year with fasting and is not limited to summer only.

What was the month of Ramadan called in the past?

History of Ramadan
History of Ramadan

In the history of Ramadan, the names of the Hijri months were different from what they are at present, including Ramadan;
From the time of Aad and Thamud to two hundred years before the advent of Islam, his name was Tattle;
It is a name given to the person who is supplied with water from her spring or well,
and the name indicates that the time of Ramadan was in the winter season, and he was called Zaher;
This is because the advent of the month for the Arabs comes with the time when the flower of the plant grows,
and the plant does not bloom without the presence of rain, and nearly two hundred years before Islam,
the Arabs changed the names of the Hijri months,
and it was said that the suggestion to change them was from the dogs of bin Murrah of Quraysh and that he is one of the He named the current names,
and the Arabs relied on the new names on the climatic and social conditions that correspond to each month.

The origin of the word Ramadan

The history of Ramadan is the ninth month among the Hijri months.

It is after the month of Sha’ban and before the month of Shawwal, and the History of Ramadan is the month in which the Noble Qur’an was revealed,
and God – the Highest – enjoined fasting, and the number of its days ranges between twenty-nine and thirty days.

The gates of Hellfire have been shut, and the demons have been enslaved.

 As for the word Ramadan, it goes back to Ramadhan.

It is the intensity of the sun’s heat on the sand and others, and the day’s thunder;
That is, its heat increased and became intense, and according to the saying of the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him –
when he entered the people of Quba while they were praying the forenoon, he said:

(The blessing of the repentant people when the season begins)

 It means that the Duha prayer is when the heat intensifies;
That is, the slippers of young camels called (Al-Fasal) were burnt from the heat of the sand, and they were anointed;
That is, you burned it, and from it is the origin of the word Ramadan, as mentioned previously.

And now you know all about the history of Ramadan.
