Dua for Bathroom | Before Entrance

dua for bathroom

Muslims have been ordered to remember Allah at every step and event of their lives, whether it’s a grand event or any smaller routine thing. But Muslims must maintain their relationship with Allah and not leave any opportunity to thank Him.
The greater way of remembering Allah at every step is; to recite and read the recommended Duaas and supplications to their respective situations. These Duas not only help improve the spiritual relationship, but they also protect from the evils like Dua of bathroom. These supplications provide ultra protection from the evils of jinns and human beings.

It is from the beliefs of Islam to acknowledge the existence of Jinns, and since they exist, we have to deal accordingly.
Prophet ﷺ taught us various Duas to recall while visiting those areas where Jinns live or they present, and of the most common areas where Jinns are present all the time is the restroom or bathroom. Therefore, Islam emphasizes every Muslim to learn and recite the Dua of the restroom.

Dua for Bathroom

There is a very beautiful Dua that is based on powerful words asking refugees to Allah from the evils before entering the toilet, as the narration states:

Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “These toilets are haunted (inhabited by devils), so when anyone of you goes to the toilet let him say,

اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أعُوذُ بكَ مِنَ الخُبُثِ والخَبَائِثِ

‘A’udhu Billahi min al-khubthi wa’l-khabaith (I seek refuge with Allah from the male and female devils). (Abu-Dawood)

and when you get free from the restroom you have to recite another very small but beautiful Dua as narrated:

When the Prophet (ﷺ) came out of the privy, he used to say:

غُفْرَانَكَ

“Grant me Thy forgiveness.” (Abu-Dawood)

Dua Before Entering the Bathroom

The small sentence may seem ordinary but it is the most powerful tool against the evilest place of the House. The bathroom is the most desired place of every jinn and devil because of the activities we perform there, and since the loo and the poop are considered impure the devil finds its strength near the filth and impurity.

These small sentences are very powerful and very helpful for the spiritual relationship with Allah and provide ultimate protection because we ask directly to Allah.

It is obligatory for every Muslim to learn all these Duas by heart and recall and recite them every time with the relevant act.
